Free Comic Book Day May 5, 2012

Free Comic Book Day is a single day – the first Saturday in May each year – when participating comic book shops across North America and around the world give away comic books absolutely FREE* to anyone who comes into their stores. *Check with your local shop for their participation and rules.

It has often been tied to the release of a major theatrical film adaptation of a well known superhero property, in order to take advantage of the film’s heavy promotion and related press about the comic book medium.

Later this week the Avengers film will be opening, I am kind of excited to see it coming.  I always enjoy going seeing big splashy films at the multiplex, and well even the quieter ones.  It took me a while to warm up to certain aspects of the film it’s not being nit picky it just certain elements which was kind of funny (actually it was not at all) now is tie to it forever.  Well until someone decides to reboot the whole thing 😉 Be sure to tell me your thoughts on the film and what’s next on your 2012 must-see list for films.
